HEX REJECT — ART LICENSING AGREEMENT

Applies To: All digital artwork purchased from Hex Reject via our website, Etsy, Socials, or official storefronts.

 WHO CAN USE OUR FILES

• Small handmade shops and independent creators are welcome to use our files for creating physical retail products only (like apparel and handmade goods).
• No additional commercial license is needed for this standard use — just don’t cross the lines below.
• You must create your products yourself. No outsourcing to manufacturers, wholesalers, or print-on-demand platforms unless you’ve obtained a custom license.

HARD NOs — PROHIBITED USES

• Digital resale or sharing: Don’t share, gift, upload, or resell our designs in any digital form, altered or unaltered.
• Branding use: Our art may not be used in logos, brand identities, marketing materials, or business packaging without express permission.
• Print-on-demand (POD): No Printful, Zazzle, Spoonflower, Redbubble, or similar services unless we’ve signed off in writing.
• Modifications: No altering, recoloring, cropping, remixing, or text removal unless otherwise stated. (Some designs may allow for text additions only.)
• No NFT, AI, or blockchain use: Don’t feed our work into AI, use it in NFTs, or include it in any blockchain or crypto-related projects.
• No Stickers, Pins, or Art Prints: Unless you’ve got a special license, you may not use our files for creating stickers, enamel pins, patches, or art prints.

 SPECIFIC PRODUCT RESTRICTIONS

Unless explicitly licensed, you may not:

• Use our files to create digital products (downloads, clipart, digital stickers, or graphics packs)
• Sell vinyl decals, transfers, sublimation files, or finished sticker sheets
• Manufacture or mass-produce our designs (even physically)

 CUSTOM FILES & CLIPART

• Custom illustrations and clipart sets are still under this agreement — they can’t be resold, gifted, altered, or redistributed.
• Clipart should be used as part of new, original compositions — don’t just repackage it.

 CREDIT & COMMUNITY

Using any designs that promote rights-based or cause-driven work? Consider donating proceeds to a cause. It’s not required, but it’s badass.

 FINAL NOTE

All artwork is protected under copyright law and remains the intellectual property of Hex Reject. Violation of this agreement may result in revoked access, DMCA takedowns, or legal action.

 

ENFORCEMENT & RETRIBUTION FOR THEFT

If you’re caught violating this license—whether through unauthorized resale, reproduction, digital sharing, or misuse of the artwork—you agree to the following terms:

You will be invoiced for a commercial license at the full market value appropriate for the scope of unauthorized use.

A minimum fee of $500 USD per violation will be charged, with higher fees assessed depending on the severity and extent of misuse.

You may also be subject to:

• DMCA takedowns
• Permanent bans from purchasing future work
• Public disclosure of infringement (if appropriate)
• Legal action for copyright infringement under U.S. Copyright Law  (up to $150,000 per willful infringement)

Stealing art from independent creators is theft. If you wouldn’t shoplift from a store, don’t pirate from a small artist.

This schedule applies to individuals or entities that are found to violate the official Hex Reject Licensing Agreement.

Violation Type Minimum Fee Additional Notes

• Unlicensed digital resale (e.g., Etsy, Creative Market) $1,000 per listing. Retroactive license not guaranteed
• Unauthorized physical product (e.g., shirts, stickers, prints) $500 per product type. Each product counts separately
• Branding/logo use without permission $1,500 flat fee Includes social media branding
• Use on print-on-demand platforms $1,000 minimum Per platform/account
• Alteration of artwork without rights $500 per file, including recoloring, cropping, text removal
• NFT, AI training, or blockchain usage $2,500+ Subject to legal escalation
• Failure to comply with takedown request +$250 per day until removal is confirmed
• Refusal to respond or settle Escalation to legal team Full damages pursued under copyright law

Note: These amounts reflect minimum fees. Hex Reject reserves the right to increase penalties based on severity, intent, reach, and financial gain associated with the infringement.
